Bradbourne is one of the largest and most active RDA groups in the country and everyone involved, including the instructors and admin staff, is an unpaid volunteer. Sometimes there are jobs that we just don’t have the resources to tackle and that’s where we are so grateful to the groups of volunteers who take time away from their normal place of employment to come and to help us for a day.

On Monday 19th September 2011 a group of volunteers from Barclays came and tackled a whole range of jobs with the most amazing efficiency and good humour. They put the finishing touches to the outside of our loo and shower building, as well as painting the inside of the shower rooms and giving the whole building a thorough clean and tidy.

After lunch, they even had time to clean some of our ponies’ tack and pack up 3,000 Christmas cards ready to sell.

We are very grateful to all the volunteers.  We are also very grateful to Barclays for ‘lending’ them to us for the day and providing materials, as well as to Liz for organising everything.
