DOG FUN DAY
BRADBOURNE

On Sunday 14th June 2009, Bradbourne RDA held its first ever Dog Fun Day. And what a fantastic day it was! The sun shone and it's hard to say who enjoyed it most . . the dogs, their owners or the spectators.
Not only did the event raise an amazing £4,500 towards Bradbourne RDA funds - it also provided a really enjoyable day out and a wealth of lovely photos, which are available to view and purchase at www.animalimages.org.uk
The day started with a 5km sponsored walk.
Some walked at a leisurely pace. And some had a rather more competitive attitude . . .
Throughout the day, live music was provided by a first-rate band (whose female vocalist rides with us!) and Mrs. Lyford served her usual delicious selection of sandwiches, drinks and cakes.
In the competitions after lunch, the judges had the unenviable task of selecting the dog with the waggiest tail, the dog the judge would most like to take home and the dog who looks most like its owner.
There was also a Handy Dog class where dogs of all shapes and sizes completed an obstacle course against the clock. And we really do mean dogs of all shapes and sizes!
